Developer Comments: The utility of Genji’s perks, such as Acrobatics and Blade Twisting, has been limited due to their specific use cases. We have improved the conditions of these perks and increased the healing of Meditation to align it with other Major perks.
Acrobatics
- Now also resets double jump on wall climb.
Meditation
- Healing increased from 25 to 35 health per second.
Blade Twisting
- Duration after an elimination to trigger bonus damage increased from 6 to 10 seconds.
- Bonus damage is now dealt over 1 second instead of 2 seconds.

- Swift Strike resets double jump.
Dragon's Thirst
- Dragonblade swings gain 30% lifesteal.
Blade Twisting
- Swift Strike deals 25 additional damage over time when used shortly after an Elimination.
Meditation
- Regenerate 25 health per second while Deflect is active.

Scary Speed
- Shuriken critical hits now increases attack speed by 3%, up to 10 stacks, for 10 seconds, previously increased attack speed by 2%, up to 15 stacks, for 10 seconds.
Vampiric Deflect
- Deflect now heals for 15% of your max health per second, previously 10%.
Bitter Revenge
- Deflect now causes the next Swift Strike to deal up to 75% more damage based on the damage prevented, previously 50%.
Master Ward
- Cooldown is now increased by 3 seconds, previously 5 seconds.

Genji has greatly benefited from the move to 5v5. Changing to a single Tank and the reduction of crowd control has removed a lot of obstacles for Genji. However, he hasn’t received tuning updates since he wasn’t actively in the meta until launch—an intentional decision based on our general preference to avoid preemptive adjustments when possible. These changes will bring Genji more in line with the other flanking damage heroes like Tracer and Reaper.
